Batam | Exploring Muslim Island Village Pulau Akar

Come along with me for a special day exploring the quaint, peaceful, beautiful island of Pulau Akar. Located just a short boat ride away from the famous Barelong Bridge on Batam, this pretty Muslim village is home to around 300 locals and a wild number of free-range chickens. I first noticed the pretty mosque and that’s what interested me in visiting and I’m so glad I did.

Big thanks again to my friends at Kopak Jaya 007 (the coolest and most instagrammable kelong style restaurant on Batam, don’t miss it!) for making this day possible. I’ll see you guys soon!
