Georgetown Wines in Penang for Terrific Tapas and Vino

Georgetown Wines in Penang for Terrific Tapas and Vino

While staying at Cheong Fatt Tze, The Blue Mansion (review launching in a few days!) I discovered this little gem of a restaurant only two blocks from my heritage hotel.  Tucked into it’s own courtyard, in refurbished 200 year old stables, lies Georgetown Wines.  They have their own wine cellar and guests are asked to select their own bottle of wine within it as they don’t have a wine menu.  It’s quite fun!  I enjoyed local, fresh clams and braised beef and a wonderful bottle of Altos de Tamaron from the Ribera Del Duero region in Spain, which I love.
