When you’re living out of a suitcase for more than just a few days, there’s nothing better than feeling settled and having a few comforts of home! I was pretty fortunate to have snuggled into the Beijing Hilton during the first weeks of my stay in Beijing, and I highly recommend it. Their service is wonderful, the staff speaks excellent ENGLISH (something anyone who’s travelled to China knows can be very hard to find even at the best of hotels) and it’s centrally located, including access to the metro line less than a block away.
Located just a quick 30 minute car ride from the Beijing airport lies the Beijing Hilton, with fantastically easy access to the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, major shopping, entertainment and more!
The Chaoyang district is home to the city’s embassy district, not far from Beijing’s financial centres and the bustling nightlife and dining options of the very hip neighbourhood of Sanlitun.
There are nine suites to choose from at the Beijing Hilton and my FAVE is either the Chairman Suite or the luxuriously spacious Imperial Suite that has its own Zen chill-out lounge! Each has its own large kitchen with a private entrance for a chef and wait staff, who are happy to whip up everything from an authentic Chinese meal, to a lavish formal dinner party for eight people in the Chairman Suite and 15 in the Imperial.
