Batam | Harris Resort Barelang for Families & Solo Travellers (+ spa tour)

Not only is Harris Resort Barelang Batam the best-situated hotel and spa next to the famous Barelang Bridge but it is also home to the very 1st Kelong-style restaurant in the area, which you’re gonna love! This sprawling property is perfectly situated on a picturesque stretch of coastline that includes a sandy beach and hilltop for its WOW-factor ocean view rooms and villas. There are four restaurants and cafes to entice every taste. On the seafront is their newest bar – Ti Punch Bar – which was my #1 favourite spot for sipping cocktails during a relaxing sunset session. Oh, and the spa!!! It’s modern and minimalist and top quality, making it an absolute must when you’re there.

Don’t MISS their theatre under the stars that happen each night, it was truly fun. They make fresh popcorn and candy floss in the moment and you can order beer and snacks. It was very chilled taking in a film with an ocean breeze all around.

For Solo Travellers:
I was the only solo traveller that I saw during my 3-day stay but I had a wonderful time. My suggestion is to order breakfast from in-room dining and plan meals in off-hours to avoid being surrounded by children, which is what I did and my experience there was peaceful and lovely.

For Families:
This is going to be a stay that your whole family enjoys. There are endless land and water activities and sports. Your younger ones will love the Dino Kids Club while you hit the spa to recharge your battery. And they have large villas that are truly beautiful.

Note: in the video I saw that HARRIS Café is open for breakfast and lunch but it is for breakfast only.
