Private pools, fabulous chef, and close the beach? Check, check, and check! Jamahal is a lovely property that offers up diverse villas perfect for couples and honeymooners, located just a short walk away from the beach.  From the moment you enter the property you’ll feel as though you’ve escaped to an oasis of lush gardens and decadent service.  See for yourself:

The Villa

I stayed in a Garden Suite Villa, which hugged the heart of Jamahal, giving couples direct access to a large and lovely lagoon style pool that is absolutely perfect for a nice, big, proper swim!  The private deck is equipped with two sun beds and also a dining table with a large umbrella to make dining al fresco a lovely experience day or night.

The villa itself felt very Balinese to me with a high roof, lots of dark wood, and colourful art.  There is a diverse mix of lighting and they even provide three CDs to ensure that you’re always able to strike just the right mood for any occasion.

The bathrooms are large and lovely and fully air-conditioned (not something you often find on Bali when it comes to the villas … even the 5-star luxury villas).  In fact, this particular bathtub was so large I swear you could fit half a dozen people in it, making it a memorable and relaxing experience, especially when it was full of flowers, the music was on, and the wine was served.

My only complaint is more of a comment that the Garden Suite Villas aren’t really suites at all so that was a bit confusing. They don’t have a separate sitting room (basically the definition of a suite) so do be advised of that…

Eat & Drink

If you’re a foodie then you’ll be in heaven at Jamahal.  The chef is a master and their menu is honestly so large and diverse – and SO full of naughty and healthy dining choices from around the world – that my friend and I dined in for every single meal during our 3-day stay (although we did walk to the beach for cocktails on one of the nights which was fun as hell).

Their crab cake with eggs is amongst my favourite brekkies from my recent month in Bali.  And their grilled jumbo prawns were fabulously fresh and cooked to perfection.

Jamahal is a lovely resort, especially if you’re looking to simply disconnect from the world and enjoy some one-on-one time with someone special like I did.  The beach is about 7 minutes away down a quiet tree-lined street, making it ideally situated in Jimbaran.  You’ll feel away from it all but restaurants and bars are also just around the corner.
